I looked into some of the home automation systems (would be cool to use my iPhone to tell the coffee maker to start as well as music to play in the bathroom), but that moves further and further away from the simple Mac set up.  I&#039;m a new Mac convert, too (with 20 years in a Windows-based IT career) and I&#039;m finding the frustration of the learning curve is balanced by the stability - they just work.  So I know when I plug the Airport Express in it&#039;s just going to work.  (I may still look into a Mac-based coffee starter, though ;-)</description>

		<description>The Apple TV is actually the missing item for the true killer setup, as currently you have to have one computer/laptop running iTunes switched on. The Apple TV is a whole lot easier to leave always on and it can be controlled using the iPhone remote application so you can switch on music from bed without having to scramble to power up your MacBook anyway.

Plus the Apple TV acts as an AirTunes device, so you can get rid of the AirPort express in that room.
